The Battle Between Good and Evil

I live under a curse, a constant doom that hangs over my head and sucks the very life out of me. But I’m not alone; every other human being is under this same deadly curse. There are very few who can resist its corrupting powers, I am one of the few who have seen the Light. Those who have seen the Light have been given a power, the ability to not fall into the evil corruption that others fall into, but we still must live under this impending doom. But along with the power comes a promise, that this curse will be lifted. When, we do not know, but we know it will happen soon. I can feel it in the air. An expectancy, the deep breath before the plunge, a war is coming. A war of such a cosmic size that the very foundations of this evil earth shall be shaken, a clash of all that is good and all that is evil will go down in history as the greatest war… ever. Which side will win? It may sound smug to say that my side will win, but the Light has told us, and the Light never lies. But still I lay awake in the cold watches of the night thinking of what would happen if the Dark side would win. The horrors that parade my mind are almost too much to bear. If the Dark side did win, the world would be plunged into an even greater darkness then it currently is in. all hope would vanish. All people would die and yet not be able to leave their accursed bodies in what would become living hell. The faint flickers of light and happiness would no longer be, for the Light would be killed or defeated and locked away in a prison with no door. But it is impossible for the Light to be vanquished, no matter how hard the Darkness strikes or thinks it can over throw the Light.

An Investigation of a Kidnapping: Part 3 of 3

This is the final part of the three part series An Investigation of a kidnapping. This time it's from the point of view of the girl who was kidnapped. Enjoy!

“Tubby come here! Where are you running off too?” I called after my dog but he wouldn’t listen. I ran after him through the crowded street, calling his name, but he wouldn’t come to me. I wondered what had gotten into him, he was acting weird, I thought. By then I had gotten far away from my mother, but I wasn’t really worried until Tubby ran into a dark alley way. I knew better then to go into that place alone, especially when it was deserted. But I knew I had to get Tubby back, so I took a step in. the alley seemed to stop short in a dead end just a few feet away, but I didn’t see Tubby anywhere. Where could he have gone? How could a dog vanish into thin air? I reasoned with myself that there were people just outside the shadows and, with one last look back, I stepped fully into the darkness. I soon found out that what I thought was a wall was actually tons of boxes stacked as high as I could see. Maybe, I thought to myself, Maybe Tubby went behind that wall. So I stepped timidly behind the stack of boxes. But I hardly had any time to look around when two strong arms grabbed me! I let out a piercing scream just before I felt a handkerchief tied tightly around my mouth making it impossible to call for help. The big man carried me away and I saw over his shoulder tons of people come rushing to save me, but they were too late.

An Investigation of a Kidnapping: Part 2 of 3

Here is part two in a three part series about a little girl getting kidnapped. This time the point of view is of the narrator. Enjoy!

The day was a perfect day. The sun was shining and the birds were out, twittering and chirping. It was the warmest day that the city of Gothsomath had seen that year. All the little girls and boys were out playing in the mud and splashing in the melting puddles of snow. The Farmers Market was at its busiest. Crowds of people flocked there to buy produce on that fine spring day. A little girl was playing with her black puppy, near where her mother stood, when it started to run off. At first it looks like a new game the dog is playing with the girl. First the dog would run off a few paces then when the girl caught up with it, he would run a little further. Soon the little girl was far from her mom and lost, but she didn’t care, she was having too much fun. Her mother didn’t notice either because she was busy talking with a friend she met in the crowd. The little girl continued to chase the little pup up and down the streets when all of a sudden the puppy run off to a dark and secluded alley way. The girl naturally didn’t know she shouldn’t go into dark alley ways alone, so she ran after her dog. But when she got there, to her dismay, the dog was nowhere to be seen. She took a few steps further into the darkness when a figure appeared out of the gloom. Two strong hands snatched her, and she only had time to let out a piercing scream before he bound and gagged her.
